Most of us have heard the saying, “The definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over and expect different results.” In fact, most of us have probably heard it within the last week or so.
It’s true, but are we doing anything about it? What we need to be saying is that if nothing changes, nothing changes.
We have to constantly change. We have to improve, innovate, learn, grow and learn. But, more importantly we have to share that knowledge and help others grow and improve.
The change we need to make is not only in ourselves but in others—the next generation; the leaders of tomorrow.
Because if we don’t change them—or at least inspire them to want to change—nothing is going to change. Whether it’s in the processes of your work, your practices or just in your attitude—you must demonstrate an ability and willingness to change.
Personally, I love to change; to grow…to learn new things and improve. I feel if I ever stop doing so, I’ll be done—and I’m not ready to be done yet.
Make it a point to change something in a positive way this week.
One of the first steps to change is to identify WHAT you want to change and then decide HOW you’re going to change it. What do you want to change? Now go make it happen.
